All dog breeders aren’t the same. At Dennings Farm, our mission is to raise healthy, happy puppies and finding the right homes for them. We will take the time to educate you on the different breeds available and help you find the one that’s right for you and your family. Denning Farms is a family-owned and operated breeder of maltipoos, cavachons, cavaliers, teddybears, yorkiepoos, cockapoos, puggles and boston terriers. It takes many years of breeding these types of dogs to properly understand and care for them. When you buy a puppy from Denning Farms, you can be sure you are buying from one of the best puppy breeders in the midwest.
Denning Farms is a USDA Licensed Dog Breeder. We are also a member of the Iowa Pet Breeders Association and the Pet Professionals of Southeast Iowa.
Denning Puppy Farm
We truly are a farm that offers our puppies plenty of space and fresh air to grow and be happy. We have a stone and brick building with heated flooring and air-conditioning for our puppies when indoors. They are with adults and our children most of the day. 
Puppies at Denning Farms are part of our family. We enjoy each and every puppy and we know the love, affection and laughter that they will bring to their new families. Getting Started with Puppy Adoption
You’ve begun your search on the internet for puppies for sale, puppy farms, dog farms, etc. For the breeds we offer, you’ve come to the right place! We’ve put more information on-line to help you understand the steps to purchasing your puppy.
Visit the Currently Adopting page of our website for the breed you are interested in to see if they are available at this time. If they are not available now, sign-up for our email list to get an automatic update when they become available. This is the best way to get notified in advance of new puppy litters in advance.
Shipping Puppies for Adoption
Not anywhere near Hougton, IA? That’s not a concern, we can ship your new puppy to you! We have found good homes for our puppies in virtually every state in the US including California, Texas, Florida, and New York. We safely and humanely ship your new puppy directly to you.

I got Luna in January 2019 and she has been the best friend a girl could ask for. She is such a sweet cuddle bug but she loves romping in the outdoors too. The whole process of getting her was super easy and the folks at Denning Farms were wonderful to work with. My late husband and I got our Cockapoo from Dennings in 2005. He was a perfect match for us, energetic, healthy, inquisitive, intelligent, with a “please be my friend” attitude toward everyone he met. Curly traveled far and wide with us, hiking in Colorado’s mountains, swimming in a river near our daughter’s home, and loved being loved on by our eight grandchildren. Sadly, my husband (Curly’s Papa) passed from cancer in 2012. I still had to work, and Curly was so lonely without Papa. He went to the animal shelter with me and picked out a kitten, Bella. They bonded immediately. We lost Curly from congestive heart failure at age 15. The hole in our hearts is still immense, but I know he and Papa are reunited and Bella and I will see them again.
We named our Teddybear puppy Remy. We were so excited to meet her so it felt like an eternity waiting to pick her up at the airport on January 7th. Initially I was worried about her long travel day to us but she arrived so happy and healthy. Remy is gentle, playful, incredibly smart and a total cuddle bug. Potty training has been pretty easy as it seems that she came to us already knowing that she must handle her business outside. She immediately slept in her crate only waking once during the night to potty for the first week. Since then she has been sleeping through the night without any issues. I mean is this even normal for a puppy!? I honestly feel that Remy's temperament is a testament to the wonderful job that Trisha and her family do raising these puppies until finding them their forever home. I will be honest and say that I had some reservations about purchasing a puppy from out of state and from a picture but this turned out to be the best decision ever! We absolutely adore Remy! When it is time to get our Remy girl a sibling we will definitely be coming back to Denning Farms! THANK YOU TRISHA!!
I want to thank Tricia for providing such a wonderful experience for a first-time dog owner. It was very easy to communicate with her throughout the whole process. And of course, we could not be happier with our Pup, Dexter. Our journey began when he was born on May 15, 2020, and we could barely contain our excitement to meet him for pickup on July 17th(and Tricia). Sure, being from Michigan, I was a little apprehensive giving a deposit to a breeder two states away. It was again Tricia being so professional and forthcoming with updates on her website that just assured me that we made the right decision. Thank you again.
We got Hawkeye and Wrigley (Teddybears). Hawkeye is now 9 years old and Wrigley is 8 years old now. We love these two so much! Hawk is very snuggly and loves our son so much. Wrigley is a little jealous but such a happy pup as he likes his snuggles during the night before bed. If we ever want another pup again we will definitely being getting another from Denning Farms! ❤️

I got Trixie from the Dennings 3 years ago. She is funny, loving, and all around the best dog. Tricia was very easy to work with then and also now since I'm getting another Teddy Bear from her this weekend!
We brought Bella home 10 years ago. I couldn’t imagine life without her. She is the sweetest smartest I can’t imagine my life without her in it I love her to the moon and back! (She is a maltipoo) I would buy from Denning’s again. Oops. Bella is still afraid of planes! She is my life !
We got Lexie, a Teddy Bear, from Denning Farms in 2016 to keep our senior Maltese, Izzy, company during the day while we worked. They became besties! We were so happy with our Lexie that when we lost Izzy in 2021, we immediately thought of Trish at Denning Farms to help us and Lexie fill the hole in our hearts. We went online and fell in love with Teddy Bear Female#4! She's the one with the heart-melting expression and the brown patches in her coat. We emailed Trish, then watched and waited until the magical 8-week date came and then we picked her up at Jax Int'l Airport in October 2021. The little furball in that crate stole what was left of our hearts!
We named her Zoey and she keeps Lexie running! Now Lexie is the big sister and her little sister Zoey is her bestie! We recommend Denning Farms to everyone we know who is looking for a great doggie from a very professional breeder.
