All dog breeders aren’t the same. At Dennings Farm, our mission is to raise healthy, happy puppies and finding the right homes for them. We will take the time to educate you on the different breeds available and help you find the one that’s right for you and your family. Denning Farms is a family-owned and operated breeder of maltipoos, cavachons, cavaliers, teddybears, yorkiepoos, cockapoos, puggles and boston terriers. It takes many years of breeding these types of dogs to properly understand and care for them. When you buy a puppy from Denning Farms, you can be sure you are buying from one of the best puppy breeders in the midwest.
Denning Farms is a USDA Licensed Dog Breeder. We are also a member of the Iowa Pet Breeders Association and the Pet Professionals of Southeast Iowa.
Denning Puppy Farm
We truly are a farm that offers our puppies plenty of space and fresh air to grow and be happy. We have a stone and brick building with heated flooring and air-conditioning for our puppies when indoors. They are with adults and our children most of the day. 
Puppies at Denning Farms are part of our family. We enjoy each and every puppy and we know the love, affection and laughter that they will bring to their new families. Getting Started with Puppy Adoption
You’ve begun your search on the internet for puppies for sale, puppy farms, dog farms, etc. For the breeds we offer, you’ve come to the right place! We’ve put more information on-line to help you understand the steps to purchasing your puppy.
Visit the Currently Adopting page of our website for the breed you are interested in to see if they are available at this time. If they are not available now, sign-up for our email list to get an automatic update when they become available. This is the best way to get notified in advance of new puppy litters in advance.
Shipping Puppies for Adoption
Not anywhere near Hougton, IA? That’s not a concern, we can ship your new puppy to you! We have found good homes for our puppies in virtually every state in the US including California, Texas, Florida, and New York. We safely and humanely ship your new puppy directly to you.

I am purchased Madelyn Brileigh from Trish Denning on 02/27/17. From the moment I saw her, I knew she would’ve one my heart. She is so gentle and loving. She runs like the wind and she loves to fetch and return corn cobs. My cat, Tess, became her best friend and they play together. She is strong, healthy, happy and loved. She has never met a stranger and she loves new people. When it is time for another Teddybear, Trish’s website will be my first stop. I adore Madelyn and could not imagine my life without her.

Hi Tricia and Family, it has been a long time since we picked up our sweet Curly (Puggle) from your home 9-22-2012. Today July 28 2022, we are celebrating his 10th birthday. we have had no issues with our fine Puggle. Since the day we brought him home he has been a joy to have in our family. He has grown with Steven through the years walking with him to the bus stop, going on walks, playing in the snow or just being lazy etc...Steven was 7 and is now going to be a senior in high school what a long road traveled. I am thankful that I found you and was able to bring our sweet dog home so many years ago... God Bless Ellyn PS wish I could more pictures... 🙂
We are a married couple of 54 years and both of us retired from The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Mike worked in the Information Systems computer area for the hospital for 39 years. Phyllis was a Social Worker at the hospital and the community for 38 years. We have had Cavalier and Cocker fury kids all of our married lives. Our 12 yr. old Spaniel, Maddie died in May 2021. We miss her terribly. Our hearts and home want to adopt a little one to love and care for.
We have 2 adult married children and 2 adult grandchildren and 1 younger, 11 years old grandson. They love our sweet babies and care for them if we are away for a few days. So, we will be so grateful to be able to make a warm, loving home for a sweet Cavalier.
We got Lexie, a Teddy Bear, from Denning Farms in 2016 to keep our senior Maltese, Izzy, company during the day while we worked. They became besties! We were so happy with our Lexie that when we lost Izzy in 2021, we immediately thought of Trish at Denning Farms to help us and Lexie fill the hole in our hearts. We went online and fell in love with Teddy Bear Female#4! She's the one with the heart-melting expression and the brown patches in her coat. We emailed Trish, then watched and waited until the magical 8-week date came and then we picked her up at Jax Int'l Airport in October 2021. The little furball in that crate stole what was left of our hearts!
We named her Zoey and she keeps Lexie running! Now Lexie is the big sister and her little sister Zoey is her bestie! We recommend Denning Farms to everyone we know who is looking for a great doggie from a very professional breeder. You can tell these puppies are raised with love from birth and for the time they are at the farm--to me, that is very important! Thank you Denning Farms for our little loveys!
