All dog breeders aren’t the same. At Dennings Farm, our mission is to raise healthy, happy puppies and finding the right homes for them. We will take the time to educate you on the different breeds available and help you find the one that’s right for you and your family. Denning Farms is a family-owned and operated breeder of maltipoos, cavachons, cavaliers, teddybears, yorkiepoos, cockapoos, puggles and boston terriers. It takes many years of breeding these types of dogs to properly understand and care for them. When you buy a puppy from Denning Farms, you can be sure you are buying from one of the best puppy breeders in the midwest.
Denning Farms is a USDA Licensed Dog Breeder. We are also a member of the Iowa Pet Breeders Association and the Pet Professionals of Southeast Iowa.
Denning Puppy Farm
We truly are a farm that offers our puppies plenty of space and fresh air to grow and be happy. We have a stone and brick building with heated flooring and air-conditioning for our puppies when indoors. They are with adults and our children most of the day. 
Puppies at Denning Farms are part of our family. We enjoy each and every puppy and we know the love, affection and laughter that they will bring to their new families. Getting Started with Puppy Adoption
You’ve begun your search on the internet for puppies for sale, puppy farms, dog farms, etc. For the breeds we offer, you’ve come to the right place! We’ve put more information on-line to help you understand the steps to purchasing your puppy.
Visit the Currently Adopting page of our website for the breed you are interested in to see if they are available at this time. If they are not available now, sign-up for our email list to get an automatic update when they become available. This is the best way to get notified in advance of new puppy litters in advance.
Shipping Puppies for Adoption
Not anywhere near Hougton, IA? That’s not a concern, we can ship your new puppy to you! We have found good homes for our puppies in virtually every state in the US including California, Texas, Florida, and New York. We safely and humanely ship your new puppy directly to you.

My late husband and I got our Cockapoo from Dennings in 2005. He was a perfect match for us, energetic, healthy, inquisitive, intelligent, with a “please be my friend” attitude toward everyone he met. Curly traveled far and wide with us, hiking in Colorado’s mountains, swimming in a river near our daughter’s home, and loved being loved on by our eight grandchildren. Sadly, my husband (Curly’s Papa) passed from cancer in 2012. I still had to work, and Curly was so lonely without Papa. He went to the animal shelter with me and picked out a kitten, Bella. They bonded immediately. We lost Curly from congestive heart failure at age 15. The hole in our hearts is still immense, but I know he and Papa are reunited and Bella and I will see them again.
DearTricia, Bella Rose will be 1 Year on April 2nd. She has been a Godsend. Bella is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and she is our love dog. Bella loves to play with her ball and all her toys.
She is very intelligent…that must be the poodle in her. I think the Maltese part of her is mischievous and too funny. We chose the perfect puppy, and we are so happy we got her from Denning Farms. ❤️

I picked up Lily on Mother’s Day weekend in 2012. I was looking for a puppy since we had recently lost ours and was not sure if it was the right choice. I was searching late one night on the website and found the teddybear puppies and instantly fell in love with her little face and pink bow. I called Tricia the next day and that was how it all began. I loved the fact that the family posted pictures and videos of the puppies so you could watch them play and grow and see them interacting with her children before they came to their new home. I was a little nervous of purchasing a dog online. However, it was the best experience I ever had and when I pulled into their driveway I was confident that I made a great decision. Tricia is very knowledgeable and gives you a lot of information to prepare for the new addition. Lily has been a perfect fit to our family. She loves people, was easy to train, loves car rides and even at her age is still very playful. She has also been a great dog to be with my aging parents. They absolutely have also become attached to her. I would not hesitate to purchase my next puppy from them.
We are a married couple of 54 years and both of us retired from The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Mike worked in the Information Systems computer area for the hospital for 39 years. Phyllis was a Social Worker at the hospital and the community for 38 years. We have had Cavalier and Cocker fury kids all of our married lives. Our 12 yr. old Spaniel, Maddie died in May 2021. We miss her terribly. Our hearts and home want to adopt a little one to love and care for.
We have 2 adult married children and 2 adult grandchildren and 1 younger, 11 years old grandson. They love our sweet babies and care for them if we are away for a few days. So, we will be so grateful to be able to make a warm, loving home for a sweet Cavalier.
Ruby Cavalier whelped on 5/16/19. I selected her for her head size and long snout (pick of litter) and she is a superior specimen. 26 lbs,lean and a wonderful disposition. Denning farms treated us well and their Cavalier genetics are top notch.
We purchased Sadi Lou, two years ago and couldn't be happier. She is such a joy and has the most interesting character. She is a cuddler but also a thief. Everything in the house is hers and makes it a game everyday. We have a pitbull and dachshund and Sadi is the alpha of the house even with us. I would highly recommend Denning Farms.
